Hi, my name is Deniz Inci and I work as the Project Assistant and Secretary at the Center for the Study for Health, Ethics, and Society at University of Hamburg. I am happy to be a part of CHES team and support them with financial oversight, stakeholder communication, and event coordination. It is a pleasure to be a part of this project, especially considering I am also an alumna of the university.
I moved to Hamburg about three years ago to pursue my Master´s degree in Politics, Economics, Philosophy. Prior to that, I lived in Ankara, Türkiye where I also acquired my Bachelor degree is in Political Science and Public Administration from Bilkent University. I always felt comfortable in academic environments, as I have worked in many different administrative and academic positions during my studies. I also am eager to follow an academic path and within my research interests are gender, immigration, labor, and political violence. Since my high school years, I have been actively engaging in civil society with different focus groups. Among my career goals is to combine academic information with emancipatory practices.
I have been a classical guitar player for almost twenty years now. You can find me mostly at home outside of working times, as I like to spend my time reading comic books or watching low quality TV series, especially during unending gray days of Hamburg. I am happy to call this city my new home as I continue my career here at my university with this supportive team.
